About Feedwise

It started on a sheep-dairy and beef farm at Tihoi, near Lake Taupō. Working stock day to day, we kept hitting the same wall: the science of feeding animals well is well understood, but the tools to apply it are either costly, clunky, or only in the heads of consultants. Sustainable, profitable farming depends on getting feed right — so why is it so hard to check?

Feedwise is our answer. We are bringing together a set of free, modern tools that take the published nutrition science and make it usable in the shed, on your phone. The first works out whether your stock can actually hit their target on the feed you have — the limiting factor, the minerals to add, and the cost — and gives you a clean report you can act on or hand to a client.

We care about two things in equal measure: sustainable farming and good technology. Better feeding means healthier stock, less waste, and a lighter footprint. Better tools mean every farmer — not just those who can afford a consultant — can make those calls with confidence.

Everything here is decision support, grounded in established feeding standards. It does not replace your nutritionist or vet — it helps you have a sharper conversation with them.
