How much does it need to eat?
Daily feed requirements for every class of stock we model — at maintenance, in milk or growing, and through late pregnancy. In megajoules of energy and kilograms of dry matter, worked out by the same engine that runs our calculators.
These are requirements, not allowances — what the animal needs to eat, not what to put in front of it. On pasture you have to offer more than this for what gets trampled, fouled and left behind.
